Lord Bartholomäus Kämpfer
Hailing from a long line of warrior heroes going back to the ancient city of Vongottstein, Lord Kämpfer is tasked with ruling Steinkreis, the largest city in Thain.
Together with his council of representatives from different communities in Thain he is supposed to ensure the safety of the lands. Sometimes he is called upon to judge those that break Thain's laws.
In recent years the Lord's attitude has become more and more isolationist. He seems to be caring only for his city, while leaving the rest of the island to its fate. He insists that the Kreis Knights need to defend the city and cannot be sent out to help other beleaguered communities.
Whatever made this once heroic warrior so paranoid and reluctant to help others remains a mystery for now.
