Darkwet

The Darkwet is an historical time-period that began at the climax of the Second Cataclysm when andarus sacrificed himself to remove zentarus and his threats from the face of Thain. The lesser gods also sacrificed themselves to hold at bay the Great Evil that might otherwise have found a stronger foothold on the prime material plane with the absence of Andarus. As a results of the disruption of divine energies on such a massive scale, the Island of Thain suffered a period of utter darkness and continual rain, both day and night along with a complete failure of both arcane and divine spell-craft. This disruption of magic, natural weather, and the day/night cycle later was called by folk of that era as "the Darkwet."
