Spar'kanith was the God of Knowledge on Thain. Every time a mortal on Thain finds some new piece of knowledge and shares it with others, he grows stronger and wiser and if a mortal on Thain knows something, Spar'kanith knows it as well. Spar'kanith prefers to avoid or balance the struggles between good and evil, thinking evil more capable of gathering knowledge but good more likely to share it.
Spar'kanith is also the Keeper of the Weave on Thain and has a great respect for arcane spellcasters. He sees them (rightly in most cases) as driven by the need for knowledge and will sometimes help them in that quest. He favors any, spellcaster or not, who takes the time to find and share knowledge around the island.
Spar'kanith does not show emotion, thinking it the enemy of clear judgement. It is said that, to be heard, a prayer to him must be accompanied by an important piece of knowledge that only the person praying knows.
